The Purpose of the Carl Orff Competition (a registered and nonprofit association)
The organizing and financial outlays for the realization of every Carl Orff Competition is significant. We are fortunate that we regulary have been successful in carrying out the contest.
The registered and nonprofit association 'Carl Orff Competition e.V'' was established in order to ensure that the competition continues. The following individuals participated at the first inaugural meeting: Wilfried Hiller, Gerhard Müllritter, Dr. Annelies Schneider, Florian Zwipf-Zacharia, Dr. Georg Krieger, Elgin Heuerding, Ulrike Freifrau von Gemmingen und Annett Seifert.
Excerpt from the Association Statutes:
''The purpose of the association is the promotion of the musical exchange among composers as well as with musicians from various countries and cultures along with similiar activities which do not conflict with the nonprofit nature of the association's objectives.
The association's objectives are accomplished through organizational, non-material, and financial support via events, meetings and other mutual activities.
The association solely and directly pursues objectives of a nonprofit nature within the meaning of the chapter ''Tax-Exempt Objectives'' of the German Regulation of Taxation (paragraphs 51 thru 68) in its current valid version. The association is a non-profit making organization and does not primarily pursue its own financial purposes. The association works on the basis of humanitarian values.''
Please assist us, so that the competition will continue in the future!
