Simone Cutik
Simone Cutik (née Witte), born 1968 in Lübeck.
Started taking piano lessons at age 6 and violin lessons at age 11.
1987: Graduated from school (Abitur) in Lübeck and started studying violin at Musikhochschule Würzburg. Completed study course with a musician’s and music teacher degree.
1994: Assistant principal second violin at Görlitz Philharmonic Orchestra. Had to quit this job after two years for health reasons.
1996: Got married and moved to Kahla (Thuringia); worked at Saale-Holzland district music school as a freelancer.
1999: Gave birth to a son.
2002: Trained to be health advisor, nutritionist and life coach at the Institut für Gesundheitsbildung (Institute for Health Education) in Augsburg.
2007: Published a book of poems titled “Gesang der Möwe” (The Seagull’s Song) at UND-Verlag along with a book of music containing piano music and lieder.
2008: Recorded and published a CD of piano music titled “Gesang der Möwe”.
2008: Won the Culture and Arts Prize awarded by the Saale-Holzland district.
Recent activities:
Readings, concerts, (background) music at opening events.
Working as freelance piano teacher, poet and composer (of piano works).
