The sneering and facetious character of the work is based on the comic strip “The Far Side” by Gary Larson. As a result, a made-up phobia as the primary motive allows his paranoid humor to come out into the open. The composition forms a parallelism between the comic character und war whose freedom is constantly being impeded through his own paranoia.
