Irini, a variation to the given theme in form of a sonata movement. A set of tones was associated with the rythm
which is heard in its complete form for the first time after an introduction. Immediately, the theme is further processed until it breaks up and leads into the secondary theme. The secondary theme is made up of the same sequence as the main theme and reveals a different and lyrical aspect of the rhythm.
The theme is subsequently carried through. The different types of characters of the theme are examined and the rhythm is represented in numerous facets.
All elements and characters were derived from the theme/rhythm. The piece is accordingly monothematic.
