Eberhard Arning Recorder playing in the air-raid shelter during WW2; piano lessons since 1946; organ lessons commencing in 1952 with the village schoolmaster, later with Ruth Meier in the ''Neustädter Marienkirche'' in Bielefeld every week with a small composition task; my goal: Studied church music in Herford, unfortunately prevented by force majeure; 1958 organ lessons with Reinhold Birk in Krefeld, 1961 with Walter Opp in Kitzingen; 1974 - 1976 church music studies in Düsseldorf (Director of District Music School, Harmut Schmidt), compositional composition with Norbert Ochs.
Approx. 25 years church music ministry in Kaarst-Büttgen and other places, church choir with at least 2 concerts per year, children's choir, orchestra work.
Now in retirement I find time for what is dear to my heart: Composing.
