Maxim Seloujanov
Maxim Seloujanov is an Austrian composer who was born in Moscow and studied at Mozarteum Salzburg with Boguslaw Schaeffer.
His extensive body of work, which covers almost any genre of music, is characterized by its sheer imaginativeness, offbeat humor and weird wordplays. Its stylistic diversity means that it’s almost impossible to attribute any label to it.
In addition to his musical activities, Seloujanov has also created various works in the fields of poetry, painting, theater, sculpture and multimedia.
His works have earned Seloujanov a number of prizes and awards such as the Austrian Theodor Körner Award (2003) or the German Villa Massimo Award (2006) and first prize at the Gustav Mahler Competition (Vienna, 2010).
Some of Seloujanov‘s works have been published by Edition Peters, Simon Verlag (Berlin) and Doblinger Musikverlag (Vienna).
