Steve Marlow: Carl Orff Competition 2018 EuryDike

Steve Marlow I am a self-taught composer with a mission to write and deliver music that is original, accessible and imaginative.
During 2022 my piece 'An Autumn Day' was given its premiere at the London New Wind Festival, in a version for Oboe and Piano.
In 2016, I had two orchestral compositions professionally recorded by Brno Philharmonic and Mikel Toms for Ablaze Records.
Having retired from my professional career in commercial IT, I now at last have the time and energy to give full focus to my musical ideas, which have been developed over many years, through listening, playing and experimenting, backed up by some formal study.
As a saxophonist, I have written several pieces involving saxophone, including works for saxophone and piano and works for saxophone quartet.
My musical style is tonal, melodic, harmonious and dramatic, with a serious 'classical' influence.
