The sculptures by Antje Tesche Mentzen, which should serve as an inspiration, show (again) recognizable figures that crystallise from material that appear to be in the river, so to speak. The music takes this approach: there are forms that in turn in the river take concrete forms, give the music its face and at the same time track the changing moods of the poem while converging and again deliquescing. Namely the rhythm, which corresponds to Morse code from the initials of Carl Orff, C.O.., given a musical figure can be found already in the description for the competition. It provides a framework of the composition (albeit in modified meter), in which it slowly takes form at the beginning of the beats, so the "material", the frame drum disintegrates and finds its way towards the end.
