Jose Garcia: Carl Orff Competition 2018 Una Desventura

Jose Garcia Percussionist and composer born in 1996. I started my musical education at the age of four. I'm part of the "Ensamble de Percusión de Los Llanos". Important performances include a series of recorded CDs, a tour at the Festival de Metales y Percusión "Epsival" in France and the opportunity to participate in various seminars with national and international teachers. I have participated ten times in the Festival Internacional de Percusión de Los Llanos (FIPLlanos).

In 2013 I was invited on tour with the ''Caracas Youth Orchestra'' in Asia visiting cities such as Hiroshima and Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea. I began my career in composition for drums at the age of 17 and had the opportunity to publish some of my works in events such as the Latin-American School of Percussion, percussion concerts and the 2014 and 2015 FIPLlanos (a repertoire all alone to interpret). I am currently in my sixth semester of music composition studies at the ''National Experimental University of the Arts'' and am looking forward to completing my drums at the Conservatory of Music "Simón Bolívar" soon.
