To associate Mozart with Orff is as if you would pour custard over a young salted herring. Both are delicious in themselves, but they do not go together. But, as my mother used to say: "Michael, my dear heart, get the best out of it!" I tried exactly that and here is the result. Playing around with the motives, I have extended this to logical themes and tried to somewhat macerate the "herring", so that it is better suited for the "custard sauce" in the course of the piece.
