Alessandro Anatrini Alessandro Anatrini: Carl Orff Competition 2019 Preludio + (Fantasia)^2

« Back ⇧List⇧ Next »
The Preludio is based on Orff's chord and its slow transformation towards Mozart's octaves that characterise the first bar of its theme. The second bar of Mozart's Fantasia has been used to create the fast gestures in 16th notes. The harmonic material outlined by the five notes of the first bar Mozart’s theme have been used to write the Fantasia according with different procedures of transformation that lead, around the end of the piece, to an hybrid chord (h, d, f, g) that is halfway between Mozart’s and Orff’s chord. Fantasia then ends with the return of Orff’s chord.
