Catalina María Daniela Romero Catalina María Daniela Romero: Carl Orff Competition 2019 When Little Carl played with Little Wolfgang

« Back ⇧List⇧ Next »
Cannot we find a wonderful ludic spirit both in Orff and Mozart? Then, why not try to pay tribute to it?
Here we have Little Carl and Little Wolfgang playing in the most carefree way, jumping unexpectedly from one game to the other.
Both musical given materials are usually treated melodically, in spite of the fact that the notes of De Temporum Fine Comoedia are presented as a chord in its original shape.
Basically, we find in this piece two themes. The first one, made with the notes of the mentioned chord, corresponds to the most playful moments. The second, made with the notes of Mozart’s theme (first in C major and then in the original C minor), expresses a slightly more calm ludic attitude.
But these two children are naughty, and frequently they play with musical elements not related to the given themes. Oh, they are too daring!
