We can find two very different sectors in this Castle, that are related to the two basic themes previously given. Peace reigns in the high regions of the Castle, only slightly disturbed by the reflections of the rising sun on the crystal towers. These regions correspond to Orff’s material. On the other hand, muted and strange sounds come from the deep foundation of the Castle (Mozart’s material). Their voices grow step by step, ending to dominate the whole scene. But when they come to silence the peaceful sounds can be heard again, developing calmly their limpid resonances.
