Friedemann Hasse Friedemann Hasse: Carl Orff Competition 2020 Lecha Dodi

« Back ⇧List⇧ Next »
The text "Lecha Dodi" by Schlomo Alkabez is sung as a Sabbath greeting in Jewish communities worldwide in numerous, very different settings. The underlying melody is Sephardic.
The song has already had its world premiere as part of a children's opera in Germany and Israel. However, the author has intensively reworked it for the Carl Orff Competition.
