The song and dance of the Chimichimitos is a traditional children's manifestation from the east of Venezuela.
According to the legends of Margarita Island, the Chimichimitos are the spirits of children who were not born and whose parents were dedicated to fishing or other work at sea.
These innocent spirits spend eternity playing various games and rounds on the beaches, like the tamboré, singing beautiful melodies and walking along the shores at night in the moonlight.
