Polina Korobkova: Carl Orff Competition 2018 Eurydike

I was very excited when I found out the topic of this year’s competition. It’s a very interesting opportunity to show Antique, which appears to be the cradle of European civilisation, in a diffraction of twentieth century. In my work I tried to investigate madness and passion, which hide beneath the ancient theatre mask.
My piece is based on deformed greek modes, like inverted feelings, which reflect in two empty mirrors of history.
