'Irini'
A prayer of peace for piano
(Variations through Morse code)
Composed in 2014
by Stefan Esser

The predetermined Morse code that appears on the whole composition in many variations not only has the rhythmic scheme to the work, but also specified the basis of the main subject.
The 'length' of the respective letter (e.g. I = 2/16, R = 4/16, N = 3/16) also determine the melodic course at the beginning of the composition. (I = 2nd tone of C major scale, thus 'D', R = 4th tone, thus 'F', N = 3rd tone thus 'E'.)

The piano piece ensues a completely catchy, late-Romantic harmony in mostly relaxed pace with a short, much faster midsection.
