Peace is not a state of affairs which one can simply “create”. Peace has a heavenly affiliation and can therefore, only be received from there. It doesn't come flying by extraneously or from above but from the heart of our being and desire. Peace is a fragile thing and is not to be taken for granted. The prescribed rhythm of the Morse code which has a similarity with the hammering of a machine gun, warns us in its ambiguousness during the middle of peace to consider that true peace can only be received and maintained with a tranquil heart in connection with God. In the last part of my entry, I attempt to express this through the combination of the sound of the choir movement by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy “Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich” and the threefold interrupted continuation “Herr Gott /// zu unsern Zeit”.
