Albin Wirbel Albin Wirbel: Carl Orff Competition 2019 Fantasie - nach Motiven von C.Orff und W.A.Mozart [Ca

« Back ⇧List⇧ Next »
The piece was created for the Carl-Orff-Competition in 2019 and freely shapes the first two bars of the C minor Fantasy (KV 475, Mozart) and a nine-tone-chord from "De temporum fine comoedia"[comedy at the end of the season] (Orff). The choral work "Odi et amo"[I hate and I love] from the "Catulli Carmina" and the rhythmic esprit of contemporary organ music also were formative and further inspiring. The result is a work that combines various influences in moderately modern, tonal language with a twinkle in an eye.
