Shahrouz Homavaran Shahrouz Homavaran: Carl Orff Competition 2020 Dance In The Sky

« Back ⇧List⇧ Next »
This work is about the commonalities of humans. Among these common points that make all creatures, is the sun.
In Iranian culture, the two elements of light and darkness have always been at contrast with one another. Light is recognized in this culture as the source of existence and the source of blessing.
Therefore, many of the children's folklore poems also refer to this subject. As in this poem, the sun is the beginning of life and the disappearance of darkness and evil from the earth. So humans and the earth celebrate their love for the sun and invite her to dance in the sky. In composing this work, in addition to the simplicity of the line of piece and contus firmus vocal, the harmonic background is provided to the child's musicians and singers to experience the polyphonic effect.
